Judaism is a spiritual path that follows the flow of a sacred calendar. Every year particularly auspicious times recur when it is possible to re-experience on ever deepening levels profound spiritual insights. During the month of Tishri a number of the most auspicious times occur which are called the “High Holy Days.” Attaining the profound spiritual experiences that are available during those days, requires a deeper understanding of the meaning and nature of these auspicious times. It is also extremely helpful to begin preparing ourselves several months in advance for the experience of Tishri, by learning and practicing a number of spiritual disciplines that can help us remove elements within our minds, bodies, and personalities that limit or block our access to the Divinity that supports all existence. This course addressed how to get “the most” out of our High Holy Day experience. This course series was taught during the summer of 2008 and includes 6 90-minute sessions.
